Built without a permit and council is asking questions? A registered surveyor assesses the work and mediates with the council on your behalf. Because we take on responsibility for work that's already built, and no two cases are the same, this is the one service we price after a site visit rather than quoting on the spot. GST applies to the professional fee. The pool inspection price already includes GST.
Travel is complimentary within about 30 km of Torquay. From 30 to 80 km it is a per-kilometre round-trip rate for each site visit your job needs. Beyond 80 km a local inspector attends at a flat $250 per visit. Pool safety checks are a lower per-kilometre rate from 30 to 80 km, and we don't do them beyond 80 km.
The council lodgement fee is a pass-through, shown in your estimate.
The building permit levy is a State Government charge that applies to building work with a cost of works exceeding $10,000. The levy is calculated at 0.128 cents for every dollar of the cost of works and must be paid before the building permit can be issued. Once payment has been processed, the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) can allocate a building permit number. We will notify you when the levy payment is due to ensure there are no unnecessary delays in issuing your building permit. It is not included in your estimate.
